ENVIRONMENTAL APPROVALS

Summit has extensive experience facilitating and managing environmental approvals, permitting and compliance for large to small-scale infrastructure projects. 

Along with State and Federal Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes, a number of approvals may be required to enable clearing activities and ground disturbance.  The various Western Australian legislation applicable to each case is dependent on the level of impact, the natural resources and attributes of the site, underlying tenure of the site and previous approval and legislation applicable (e.g. State agreement acts).

Summit has worked closely with regulatory departments who deal with permitting and approvals such as Department of Natural Resources and Mines (DNRM), Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (DEHP), Office of the Environmental Protection Authority, Environmental Protection Authority, Department of Environment Regulation, Department of Water, Department of Aboriginal Affairs and Department of Parks and Wildlife.

Summit’s Spill Response and Remediation Team is a diverse group with the experience and technical knowledge capable of handling a variety of spills or accidental releases - both refined and unrefined - at well sites, pipelines and facilities.
