Summit Earth Australia Pty. Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Summit Decommissioning Services (SDS) team as a Labourer (Competition #26-01-0735).  This position will be predominantly fieldwork based out of Roma, Queensland.

What to Expect:

This role will work in hands-on capacity in a fast-paced team environment, supporting various projects completing pipeline/facility decommissioning or maintenance throughout Roma, Chinchilla, and surrounding areas.

You will be supported by the entire Summit organization which consists of a dynamic team of technical administrators, business development professionals, and an in-house IT department and many other highly experienced, skilled and educated Professionals.

Job Duties:

Your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following;

  • Operate various equipment and tools, as directed by lead(s).

  • Assist with assembling, preparing, loading, and mobilizing equipment and tools including but not limited to: abrasive wate jet, internal cutting tool, skid steer, Hiab crane truck, excavator/trailer, generator, garnet, cement bags, hoses, etc.

  • Assist with Rig Up and Rig Down of high-pressure equipment.

  • Install and remove bolted/threaded pipe connections.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of equipment and work areas.

  • Safely operate equipment including but not limited to: crane truck, tag trailer, excavator, and skid steer, with proactive participation in our maintenance program.

  • Servicing and maintaining heavy equipment.

  • Performing pre/post job equipment inspections.

  • Support day to day yard and on-site job tasks.

  • Aid in job completion.

  • Embody and promote safety in all tasks.

  • Assist with regular reporting including: field reports, hazard assessments, and participate in training and site inductions as per client needs.

Candidates must be prepared to work in a multidisciplinary, fast paced project team environment and able to undertake a variety of project related tasks. Candidates must also have the ability to work and/or travel away from home for extended periods of time in varied terrains, weather conditions and remote/harsh environments.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to take initiative, ownership and work independently with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Possess exceptional understanding of safety processes/tools and hazard recognition.

  • Ability to lift weights of up to 50 lbs, repetitively.

  • This is a physically demanding role, the candidate will be required to successfully complete a functional fitness test prior to successful employment.

  • Valid manual driver’s license.

  • Construction White Card.

The following are considered an asset

  • Experience operating equipment (e.g. KG, Hiab crane, excavator).

  • Oil & Gas field services, or Energy and Utilities industry related experience.

  • HR/HC truck license.

  • General knowledge of machinery and fabrication.
