Drilling Bi-product management

Summit is the industry leader in the management of drilling bi-product. We helped introduce landspray while drilling to Australia utilizing our patented Summit Earth Navigator technology. The principle behind land based application methods is to manage these drilling bi-products allow the soil’s natural capacity to assimilate waste in a manner that preserves soil conditions.

Disturbed Land Rehabilitation

Disturbed land rehabilitation is essential in restoring and preserving land to eliminate stakeholder liability and put the land back into a productive state. Our team strives to understand pre-existing soil conditions, local geology, native vegetation, the general landscape and soil profiles to ensure successful rehabilitation. We have extensive knowledge and experience in delivering land rehabilitation and sustainability solutions to a range of industries.

Environmental Approvals

Summit has extensive experience facilitating and managing environmental approvals, permitting and compliance for large to small-scale infrastructure projects.

Along with State and Federal Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes, a number of approvals may be required to enable clearing activities and ground disturbance.  The various Western Australian legislation applicable to each case is dependent on the level of impact, the natural resources and attributes of the site, underlying tenure of the site and previous approval and legislation applicable (e.g. State agreement acts).

Summit has worked closely with regulatory departments who deal with permitting and approvals such as Department of Natural Resources and Mines (DNRM), Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (DEHP), Office of the Environmental Protection Authority, Environmental Protection Authority, Department of Environment Regulation, Department of Water, Department of Aboriginal Affairs and Department of Parks and Wildlife.
